„Łódź East Asian Meetings” conference, organized by The East Asia Institute of the Faculty of International and Political Studies at the University of Lodz, will be held on 19-20 of May, 2008. The initiative, which aims at promotion of cooperation of the Lodz Region and Asia and recognition of R&D activities within the East Asia, will be held under the patronage of Marshal of the Lodz Region.

Representatives of the University of Warsaw, the Jagiellonian University, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań and others academic centers will take part in the venue.
Moreover, the presence of the Polish Ambassador in People’s Republic of China Mr Ksawery Burski, will add splendor to the initiative.

The conference will also give the perfect opportunity to present the role of the local government’ authorities in creation of the competitive area of the Lodz Region and its capital, which can become very attractive for Far Asian partners.
