The „Project Lodz" Foundation recommends attending the „Academy of Solidarity" organized by Tertio Millennio Institute and European Solidarity Institute.

„Academy of Solidarity" is a cyclic project. The first edition, as well as the second, took place in Gdansk in 2005, accompanying the 25th anniversary of the Solidarity, the third in Warsaw.
This year we warmly invite you to Sopot. The idea behind the Academy is cultivating and developing the tradition of solidarity and to bring closer, especially to young people, multiple dimensions of social solidarity - historical, economic, socio-political and above all, moral. What we consider especially crucial, apart from the experiences of the August '80, is the social thought of Pope John Paul II, who often referred to solidarity as basic rule of social conduct.

The aim of these meetings is a joint reflection over polish Solidarity heritage, its history and meaning, as well as the ways in which solidarity takes place in different areas of social existence (economy, non-governmental sector, self-governing, trade unions). We would like to portray solidary actions, not only in their extraordinary signs (such as activity in various organizations), but also solidarity as an everyday habit - a rule, on which various institutions are based.

We offer four-day seminar (Thursday till Sunday). Participants will take part in lectures, debates and panel discussions. They will also visit places in Trójmiasto, historically important to Solidarity.

Lectures in this edition will be held by: Maciej Zięba OP, Zbigniew Stawrowski, Jakub Wygnański, Bogusław Sonik.

We invite students from all over Poland. We have 35 spots at our disposal.

Participants will have to cover only part of the expenses - 60 PLN. Taking part in the seminar requires all-time presence, on each event. We begin application on Monday, November 3rd and close it on Friday, November 28th, at 3 p.m.
