The Political Club hosts Tomasz Wróblewski

The  Foundation Project Lodz has a pleasure to invite for Political Club's meeting with Mr. Tomasz Wróblewski, journalist, former editor-in-chief of Newsweek Polska. The meeting on "Media in Poland - The fourth branch of government or independence myth" will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2009 at 6 pm at the premises of Kamea restaurant (101 Piotrkowska str.).

Tomasz Wróblewski - graduated in history at the University of Warsaw and  in political science at the University of Houston. He lived in the USA since 1982. From 1986 to 1990 he worked as a Washington correspondent  for  Radio Free Europe, later for RMF FM Radio and dailies "Życie Warszawy" and "Życie". After his arrival in Poland, Mr. Tomasz Wróblewski worked as a program director in RMF FM for a short period and then as vice editor-in-chief of "Życie" followed by the same funcion in a weekly "Wprost". He was editor-in-chief of Newsweek Polska between 2001 and 2004 and again from 2005 to 2006. In the same time he held a function of editor-in-chief of Profit magazine. Since 2006 he was vice-president and managing director of PolskaPresse responsible for new editorial projects.

 

Mr. Tomasz Wróblewski currently works for  Rzeczpospolita daily and as a lecturer at the Collegium Civitas university in Warsaw.
